Governor Snyder has offered some mild criticism of a “Pure Michigan” advertisement that highlights Michigan’s new status as a “right to work” state. The ad in the Wall Street Journal has drawn criticism for using a campaign highlighting tourism in Michigan to promote the controversial new law. The Detroit Free Press reports that Snyder told a luncheon at the Michigan Agri-Business Association on Monday that he would have preferred that the ad had a broader definition, rather than just the issue of “Right to Work.” But Snyder says the Pure Michigan campaign has been used to promote the state’s business climate.
