The city of Battle Creek plans to remove about 250 trees that have been damaged by the Emerald Ash Borer. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that City Commissioners will be asked on Tuesday to approve a contract with a Pennsylvania company for the project. Battle Creek’s superintendent of streets and parks Todd Gerber says the city’s own annual tree removal efforts haven’t been enough to clear all of the dead and dying ash trees.
